Lately, Allie has been picking up phrases from others and using them herself. Our favorite one, "I know, Mommy. I KNOW!" I'm not sure where she heard it, but she owns it now. I know everyone goes through a phase where they think they know more than their parents. I knew it ended once you have kids of your own, but I had no idea it started at the ripe age of 2 years and 2 months! Lucky me!!

Class of 2022!
Tonight was Wheatland Elementary School's Kindergarten Round-up parent meeting. Can you believe it? My baby is going to be going to kindergarten in 6 months! The school building is new, it even has that "New School" smell. The principal got up in front of all of us eager parents and did a great job keeping the meeting short and still getting all the important questions answered. We got introduced to a few teachers and support staff, got a take-home folder filled with multiple information sheets and ended it with a tour of the kindergarten classrooms. I'm not sure who is going to be more excited, me or Owen? I even got giddy when they told us school supply lists will be mailed soon. Our friends, the Williams, got to enjoy the experience with us. Next year is going to be so fun! The last image on the principals power point was a picture of the school with the words, "Wheatland Warriors, Class of 2022". I almost can't believe it, my baby is going to be in kindergarten!

Where does the time go?
I am so cool!
I look pretty!
Hair today, Gone tomorrow!
Last Friday, Daddy did the dreaded dead. We've been talking about having Owen get a haircut for about a month or so. Daddy sent mommy a text saying that he was going to take Owen to get a haircut after picking him up from school. So, mommy was quite surprised when she came home to find her little boy looking like a big boy. Even some of Owen's closest friends didn't recognize him the first time they saw him. Good news, he won't need another haircut until August!
Girls Just Want To Have Fun!
"Princess, ALL the time!" This is what Allie will tell you when she is in her full royal wardrobe. Lately, that's all we've been about. Jewelry, lip gloss, shoes, purses and pretty dresses. For those of you who know me, I own less than 25 pairs of shoes. I can go days without any makeup. Plus, I only wear dresses for special occasions. Where did this child come from? Maybe she was put here to inspire me to be more feminine? I think I'll wear makeup to Bunco tonight:)

Appropriate?
Tonight, at the dinner table, we were sitting around it eating our food when out of the corner of my eye I notice Owen was wiggling in the bench. He had spilled his water in his lap and now he was uncomfortable in his wet jeans. I told him he could take his jeans off and continue eating. I continued to eat and didn't realize that Owen had thought of a better idea. He took his underwear off and then proceeded to stand up on the bench, turn around, touch his toes and then wag his bottom from side-to-side (which was visible above the table) giggling and asking, "Is this appropriate?" I thought I was going to die!!! I had to look away to keep from choking on my pizza. Jake was trying so hard to keep a straight face. We eventually got him to put his underwear back on and finish his dinner. This gives new meaning to dinner-theater!
