Yesterday I thought I would write down all the words that Allison can say and understands the meaning of. This morning I looked at the piece of paper and almost cried. It is 42 words long and that doesn't include the words she just repeats after hearing someone say them. I've always noticed how independent she is and now that she is vocal, she's almost unstopable. Last night I laid in bed with her monitor on low. I asked Jake if he heard what I was hearing. We both smiled at each other. Our little girl was trying to sing herself to sleep. Her song of choice was "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". She just kept on repeating "Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle star". It actually worked, too. About ten minutes of singing, she was asleep. What an angel!
