GO, RED SOX!

Tuesday, we flew into Boston for a 3 day and 3 night stay. Again we did a lot (of WALKING), so I will try to hit the high lights. Our plane landed at 3:00 p.m., so we took a cab to our Bed and Breakfast. It was my first B & B and I (we) LOVED IT!!! We checked in, walked around the Children's Hospital of Boston, ate dinner at a pub on Harvard Street, ate a slice of Boston Cream Cake from a bakery, washed our dirty clothes at a local laundry mat (hadn't done that since college)... end of day 1. Wednesday was to be our "Free" day, so we started it with a 6 mile run. We ran over the St. Charles river, past the place I hope to live at next year, through the tip of Harvard campus, back over the St. Charles river, to the B & B to change clothes, Jake ate the BEST Tuna Melt (in the world, he says), rode the T to downtown, went to a cool running store (Bill Rogers Running Center), bought some shirts for everyone, walked part of the Freedom Trail, saw a bunch of cool old buildings, old grave stones, saw Frog Pond, took a picture of "duck island" (Make Way For Ducklings), ate a wonderful dinner at a seafood restaurant... end of day 2. Thursday we had an appointment to tour this preschool I am interested in for Allie to attend next year (we LOVED it), at the best hamburgers, walked through Harvard Yard, rode the T to downtown, went to the Boston Aquarium, back to the B & B, took a much needed nap, ate pizza, went to Fenway to watch the Red Sox win (I can't get "Sweet Caroline" out of my head)... end of day 3. Friday we got on a plane and came home to our children, whom we missed badly.

It was a full week, but an amazing one! I feel rested and ready for anything. When is our next vacation???

Boston sounds so far away.....yet I can see a "love affair" with the possibilites.....Thinking outside the box....and making the most of the connections and networking them to their fullest potential! Opportunity knocks!!!
