Lilac Parade

May 18th was the Spokane City Lilac Parade.  This parade starts at 7:45 pm, I say that to give you some back info.  Owen's high school band marched in the parade.  They had asked for 6 parents to volunteer and walk the route with the band, I signed up.  It was chilly, but not bad.  We were number 38 in the parade route and finished the course in 45 minutes.  As we were getting on the buses to go back to the school, there were bands and floats STILL waiting to start!!!  Luckily, I was told that for the next few years we will only be moving up in the parade order.
