Women Helping Women

I was invited to attend a fundraiser luncheon for Women Helping Women of Spokane.  The ticket was $125, included my meal.  It was good, but not something I would have normally had for lunch.  I bought raffle tickets to go towards the foundation (didn't win).  I sat at a table of other Hutton Elementary moms (I only knew one of them).  The guest speaker was very compelling and motivated everyone at my table to give more money.  I went ahead and donated another $50.  The funds that were raised were given to over 15 programs that help women and children in need in the Spokane area.  It's amazing what a group of over 1500 people can accomplish.  I think I might go again next year.
