Last Saturday morning, Jake and I got on a plane and flew to NYC! It was our fourth trip there. We managed to pack a lot into our 3 days and 3 nights there, so here I go. We got to NYC around noon, took a cab to the hotel (located in upper West Side), checked in, went to the race headquarters to pick up our packets, changed our clothes, took another CRAZY cab to Little Italy, met Vito and Christina for an amazing Italian dinner followed by dessert at a little bakery... end of day 1. Sunday woke up to a slow, steady and cold rain. We took a cab to Coffey Park, got wet, took another cab to a random Brooklyn McDonalds, walk back to the park, run the Tunnel to the Tower 5K, have an emotional experience, change into dry clothes, visit FAO Schwartz, eat some good pizza... end of day 2. Monday it was cloudy but dry, so we decided to go for a run in Central Park, go to the Toys R Us, ride the 3-story ferris wheel, buy a toy for Owen, go to Macy's, buy myself a jean jacket (I am SO COOL!!!), go to the Disney Store, buy a nightgown for Allie (I am so glad they don't have one of these in Wichita), changed our clothes, eat dinner at a brewery, watch the Broadway musical "Rock Of Ages" (It was AWESOME!)... end of day 3. The next morning we got up and caught a plane to Boston. But that will be the next blog.

Truly a "working" vacation.....but what an opportunity! A whirlwind tour of the city and its options and possibilities!
