Ice Skating at Frog Pond

Today is daddy's birthday, so as a special treat we all went ice skating at Frog Pond. It was so much fun! It's been over 10 years since I last ice skated, so I wasn't the most fluid person on 2 legs. However, I never fell! Daddy is so good at teaching the kids how to get comfortable on the ice. The kids took turns going around the rink with him. They each went with me, but they preferred daddy.

Allie's bundled up and ready!

Daddy is getting Owen's skates on.

Daddy and the Ice Princess.

She LOVED going ice skating!

We even got our first hot chocolate.
It was too hot to drink. :)

The girls taking a break.

Daddy and Owen going around the rink.

The Zamboni.

We even saw the man in red, Santa at the rink.

The Boston Common Christmas Tree. It's rather large.

Post-skating celebratory lunch at McDonald's to warm up.

It took Owen a while to warm up and get used to the ice, but Allie had NO FEAR. She was a bulldog on ice. We might have to go again.

I may fall on my face, but I'd like to give it a whirl! Just remember, blood sticks to ice as well as water does...keep some warm water on hand if I do get to attempt this.

Boston is way more fun than Wichita- just saying.

The adventures never end with the Arnetts in Boston!!!! The kids are going to be so well rounded and educated by the time they come back to Wichita....What a celebration...way to go, Jake!!! A very memorable Birthday celebration!
