Normal?
Normal? What is normal? Lately, I've been just trying to get through the day. Accomplish my errands on my "to do" list and make it to bedtime, so as to get a good nights sleep and start it over the next day. But today, something came over me. Almost a sense of calm. I was driving the kids home from Allie's dance lesson (the picture above was taken outside the church before class) and I suddenly felt like this routine was normal. I've only been driving in the suburbs North of Boston for about 3 weeks, but I am familiar with the names of lots of streets. I even know which ones are one way, which lane I need to be in and where to park. It might seem small, but this sense of calm almost made me feel like I was at home. I miss Kansas A LOT, but for the first time I feel confident and at ease here in Boston. This Dorothy isn't putting her ruby shoes away, but I will enjoy the "Emerald City" while I'm here.

YAY for enjoying!!
Happy you are feeling "at ease". :)
You have found your "center" as far as Boston is concerned....you have now entered that "comfort zone"...After all...you are a Bostonian ....for now....a part of the community....
Hooray! but we miss you too.
